Filen CLI, developed by Filen Cloud Dienste UG, is a command-line utility designed to give power users, system administrators, and automation engineers direct, scriptable access to Filen’s end-to-end-encrypted cloud storage. Issuing concise commands, the program can upload, download, sync, move, rename, or delete files and folders, list directory contents, generate public share links, and manage account credentials without ever loading a graphical interface. These capabilities make it ideal for unattended nightly backups, CI/CD artifact deployment, secure off-site mirroring, and integration with cron jobs, PowerShell scripts, or batch files on Windows, macOS, or Linux hosts. Because every transfer is protected by client-side AES-256 encryption, data remains unreadable to the provider or any intermediary, satisfying privacy requirements for personal archives as well as corporate compliance policies.
